I’ve been watching Alice and Wonderland again. This scene made me laugh more than it should…

The thing that bothers me most about Lord of the Rings is the fact that there doesn’t seem to be any female orcs. It just doesn’t make sense to me. The orcs were created from tortured and mutated elves and there are female elves…so surely there must be female orcs?
I mean how do they reproduce? Are they hermaphrodites and reproduce asexually? Are they born fully grown? Why are there no baby orcs?
Maybe Sauron killed all the female orcs so that the male orcs would be less distracted and sexually frustrated and thus more fierce in battle. But then that seems counter productive since the orcs would die out pretty quickly what with their habit of killing each other and all.
Unless they’re created artificially, i.e by Sauron and Saruman. That would kind of make sense because then they could create perfect warriors. Also by going against nature, it would add to the whole being evil thing.
Oh I don’t know. Could someone shed some light on this?
Argh! Tolkien, just ARGH!
…and it’s all Matt’s fault. :P
Also I found the cat lady’s house in Bree. It was awesome!
I think I just like running around the Shire hanging out with the hobbits. If I had to pick any place to live in Middle Earth, it would be the Shire. They seem to have an easy way of life and those hobbit holes look cosy. Saying that, I’d quite like to live in Lothlorien…except the elves always seem so sombre and that would just bring me down.
Maybe I could just have a holiday home there…
I love this film. You can’t help but smile at this scene. :)
